Well I was buggin’ a week ago. I had a killer photo of a person, and they are kinda well known and I was threatened with legal. This was due to where my feet were when I snapped it. Not on public property.
On the curb = private to the address your in front of.
Off of the curb = public property and you cannot be spoken to in any way no matter the subject of your photo. As long as it is not impeding privacy or personal space or rude or sexual in content.
These are good things to know in street shooting. This can also be done with certain governmental locations, building, and or landmarks.
Im not commenting on this any further other than to say. I lucked out because I was under a press agreement and the terms and ownership are no longer mine in a basic way of putting it. So, if theres an issue im sure ill hear about it but its the owner of the photos problem now if it is published.
Educate yourself on were you stand. And how you intend on publishing a photo. And definetly know legality. Or simply be an artist not a photographer. And post with photos that any likeness or real situations or people are completely coincedental.
