SUPPORT
So its a term used by many in the circles I shoot in. Some do it above and beyond. Some by word of mouth with who they are. Some by pounding the ground through actions. Some in an online capacity.
In my case. I shoot, share photos in print and online, show up at as many events I can. I put my own time and energy into what I do. I have never asked for much or even anything return. Ill support businesses through buying shirts and stickers. Show up at rides and pay to be a rider and buy a shirt. Show up at swaps and buy something take photos and post to show the awesome time the event is. Pump events with the flyers or in some cases make the fliers.
Im not here to toot my own horn. Im not saying this to be like ooo look at me. But some truly get it. And some or a few dont.
I get an inbox DM yesterday from my homie above. He gives me a number. 86. Says there is a raffle for a panhead engine with other parts and my number is 86. He purchased it for me as a thank you for all I do.
This is one of the nicest things anyone has ever done for me. Even if I dont win. Its speaks miles about the type of folks that you need to surround yourself with.
And I am truly blessed. From the NYC crew. To the NJ garage party crew. To my homie from Staten Crooked Bob to my tiny friend Vinny. To everyone on the Asbury circuit. To the Pineys who do it best. To the philly crew. Ryan and the Kyles. Some dude Mike on a sportster.
The upstate crew. All the photogs I have met. Shot with, and competed against in my head. Shared conversation with.
Thank You.
I could put so many photos here. If I missed someone then im sorry. The point of this is a thank you.
But support isnt something that is bought. It comes from being out there. It means if your having an event. You should be pounding the fucking pavement showing up for other peoples. Not only if you think the turnout is cool. Or the weather is perfect.
The Jam in the pines was a perfect example of alot of folks from far and near coming out and repping. And supporting Jeff and AJ. They started something new in a new spot. And the vibes of everyone there were real in wanting to see it be great. And even with rain. And a few less choppers it was a blast.
Thank you Jeff and AJ for starting some new things that have such awesome folks and great vibes.
Support those that support you. Be real. And most importantly F.T.W.
